Understand your repair guarantee

Understand the published 30-day parts-and-workmanship guarantee and how to raise a concern. The guarantee is additional to statutory rights, not their time limit.

What the guarantee covers

The published terms provide a free guarantee for defects in supplied parts and workmanship on the agreed repair for 30 calendar days from completion, for the repaired device in England. The completed work record identifies the part and scope to which a concern relates.

Limits and unrelated damage

Unrelated faults and damage caused after repair by impact, misuse, liquid or another person's work are not covered where they caused the claimed fault. Normal battery wear differs from a faulty replacement. Customer-supplied parts are not guaranteed as supplied parts, while responsibility for fitting remains.

How a concern is assessed

The published process provides inspection and an appropriate remedy for covered concerns, with no charge for a covered claim or necessary corrective travel. The assessed problem determines the suitable response; a particular replacement is not automatic.

The repair reference and symptom description help identify the completed work for that assessment. You do not need to diagnose the cause before raising the concern.

Guarantee and statutory rights

The guarantee does not restrict statutory rights to 30 days or remove remedies that apply to faulty goods or work. A later concern can still be raised. For the full applicable wording, read the published customer terms alongside your quote and repair record.

Raise a concern about your repair

Report the behaviour, repair date and device, even if you are unsure of the cause. Mention safety concerns first and stop using an unsafe device. Use the existing-repair route so the completed job can be identified and an appropriate next step discussed.

A few practical answers

Your questions, answered.

Does the guarantee cover unrelated faults?

The published guarantee concerns the agreed repair, supplied parts and workmanship. An unrelated fault needs its own assessment rather than automatic coverage under that job.

What about a part I supplied?

The supplied-part guarantee does not cover a customer-supplied item, but responsibility for the fitting work remains. Ask about the accepted arrangement before booking.

Can I contact you after the guarantee period?

Yes. Statutory rights are not limited to the guarantee period. Describe the concern and read the customer terms rather than assume all rights end after 30 days.
