Dust maintenance or an unexplained fault?

Dust in vents or accessible cooling areas can justify maintenance. A console that shuts down, smells abnormal or overheats needs its symptoms discussed first. Do not keep trying to reproduce an unsafe fault, and do not assume cleaning is a diagnosis.

What cleaning includes for your model

Console cleaning removes dust from the case, vents and accessible internal areas included for the model. The areas that can be reached safely, and the disassembly needed, determine the actual scope. It is not a full strip-down of every console by default.

Thermal paste, pads, liquid-metal work, replacement parts and fault diagnosis are not automatically included. Those jobs need separate assessment and agreement. The quote identifies the cleaning areas so the customer knows what the visit covers.

Noise, heat and realistic expectations

Removing accessible dust is not a guarantee of reduced noise or temperature. Fan condition, workload and other faults may matter. Liquid damage, pest contamination and board repair are outside the published cleaning service. Explain these conditions before booking.

Preparing the console and checking it afterward

Have the relevant power and testing accessories available as agreed, and provide a clean, stable workspace. Basic power-on and function checks can be recorded where the console is working. Keep account access private and tell David about faults that may prevent testing.
